North West Antigua

Points of Interest in The North West

Quite an interesting place for tourists with resorts and rental homes and fantastic beaches. This is also where the Capital is St Johns and where you will normally dock if a cruise ship passenger.
  • Halcyon Cove by Rex Resorts

The Halcyon Cove is located right on the beach in Dickenson Bay and is considered a 3* resort.  There is an average sized pool and a beach bar, with al fresco BBQ dining several nights a week and every lunchtime.

  • Fort James Antigua

    About Fort James

Fort James is mostly a ruin but it has charm and can be combined with a visit to Russels or the newer beach bar Beach Limerz not forgetting Millers bar. The beach here is also lovely. It is quite flat around the general area so it is considered a gentle hikeable area of interest. It is possible to get there using public bus but you need to get off opposite fort road heading north near the KFC in St Johns. Taxi fares are 12 USD each way from the cruise ship dock.

  • Dickenson Bay Cottages

If you are not staying for long or a standard week (where it is hard to beat all inclusive deals), then you might look at this eco-friendly accommodation option.

  • Coconut Grove Restaurant & Bar Antigua

    Coconut Grove Antigua

Openning Hours : From 7am to 11pm Daily

  • Antigua Village Beach Resort

This resort receives mixed reviews about the standard of the rooms and it's close proximity to the Sandals resort. It has some plus points in that it is affordable to many when Antigua is an expensive island to stay and the location is fantastic being right in the middle of the action on Dickenson Bay and among some of Antigua's best bars and restaurants. You are also close to St Johns the capital and the airport.
