This Antigua resort receives mixed reviews about the standard of the rooms and its close proximity to the Sandals resort. It has some plus points in that it is affordable to many when Antigua is an expensive island to stay and the location is fantastic being right in the middle of the action on Dickenson Bay and among some of Antigua's best bars and restaurants. You are also close to St Johns the capital and the airport.
About Antigua Village Beach Resort
It would appear there are a high number of timeshare properties here, with big differences reported in style, maintenance and comfort, but the staff at the complex have been said to address issues quickly and relocate customers where possible.
The location is perfect for those looking for a relaxing, beachfront stay with no frills, however, please note the entertainment from Sandals runs until around 11pm, so if this is likely to cause you a problem you should request a room on the opposite side of the resort.
Car hire is recommended if you would like more choice of eateries as there is no onsite restaurant, though there are a couple of places nearby that offer good food and the kitchens provided are said to be perfectly adequate. There is a big supermarket within a short cab ride.
