Stingray City Tour
Stingray City Tour

A bucket list item for may petting a Stingray! Can you imagine yourself in safe shallow warm waters surrounded by stingrays in their natural environment?

Overview

The Stingray City tour can be done as a stand-alone visit or as part of other tours taken on the island.  The boat trip to the bay is considered a highlight as the scenery is so breathtaking and the experience so serene. It's a lovely 10-minute ride.

Sessions operate via 3-time slots 9 am, 11 am, or 1 pm- every day is stingray day :)

After having an opportunity to feed and be photographed with the stingrays, you can snorkel with them and around the reef of the bay for 45 minutes to an hour. The water is shallow and sandy and makes for some nice snorkelling in very safe conditions.

Reviews are consistently high for Stingray City, with the staff praised for their professionalism and customer service.  They are especially good with those who are nervous about being so close to the animals and also with children.

Ask us about the combo Stingray and Laviscount island tour taking 2 hours—all the fun of the stingrays plus this relatively new exploration of the charming Laviscount island. There are giant tortoises and iguanas, parrots and crabs. A floating dock with a gazebo-shaded eating area and disabled-ready toilets means this is an accessible place for more people.

Another way to do this stingray experience is by taking the Xtreme Island Tour which is a high-powered speedboat tour of all the best offshore spots Antigua has. Or click here Island Tour And Stingray Antigua combo.

To Note

Several customers have suggested it is a good idea to hire an underwater camera to re-live the experience once finished, as the staff will take photos for you and sell them, but it gets expensive at $20 for each one.

The creatures will come very close to you and brush against your legs (the water is waist-high at max), but the staff will explain the best and safest way to interact at the trip's start. You basically lower yourself in via an easy ladder and you can shuffle or swim. It's so easy it really doesn't need a second thought.

Gratuities are not included in the tour cost and are entirely at your discretion.
